IPOC 2017 Dibuka Presiden Jokowi dan Bertabur Menteri
IPOC 2017 bakal tercatat dalam sejarah emas minyak sawit Indonesia. Konferensi ini dibuka oleh Presiden Jokowi, diikuti para menteri, serta melibatkan beberapa asosiasi luar dan dalam negeri. Acara International Palm Oil Conference tahun 2017 (IPOC 2017) kembali digelar di Nusa Dua Convention Centre, Bali, dari tanggal 1-3 November 2017. Tema acara ini adalah ‘Growth through Productivity : Partnerhips with Smallholders’. Sebagai gelaran acara sawit, IPOC merupakan iven internasional terbesar di dunia. Acara ini konsisten dilakukan saban tahun, sejak duabelas tahun lalu, dan sempat dua kali dipindahkan ke Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat. Namun sebegitu lama acara ini sudah dilangsungkan, nampaknya belum memberi catatan bagus bagi Gabungan Pengusaha Kelapa Sawit Indonsia (GAPKI) sebagai penyelenggara. Acara ini selalu antusias diikuti tokoh bisnis dunia, tetapi kurang diapresiasi mesra oleh negara. Disebut begitu, karena masa kepemimpinan Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) selama dua periode, sepuluh tahun, nyaris tidak pernah mau datang untuk acara ini. Hanya di akhir jabatannya SBY datang di IPOC Bandung, dan itu pun sorangaan wae. Segelintir menteri yang berniat datang beralasan terkena macet dan batal datang. Melihat sejarah panjang IPOC ini, maka penyelenggaraan IPOC 2017 layak dicatat dengan tinta emas jika acara yang diagendakan benar terrealisasi. Dalam agenda yang ada, IPOC 2017 akan dibuka Presiden Jokowi, dengan seabreg menteri sebagai pembicara.
